The Micro Red dot sight is a joint -venture with Crimson Trace and features 1.3 years of battery life on a single CR2032 battery with 14 different illumination settings ( 7 settings for red & 7 settings for green) that can be quickly cycled through for use at night or on a bright day. The 4 MOA red dot is extremely crisp and allows you to take quickly aimed shots at short range while still giving you the ability to make effective shots at medium ranges. The glass that the red dot is projected on is fully multi-coated to reduce reflection and provide a clear sight picture. It is also shock, dust, impact, fog, and recoil resistant.

A bit pricey but works well. Works well with the MCK using the included riser. Initial sighting at 15ft was off paper. (50ft NRA target) at 10ft found the strike way low way right. Do not be afraid to crank it by 1/2 turns rather than clicks. Not clearly identified as to which way to turn. CCW is up and left. My adjustment was 3-1/2 turns up and 2 turns Left to get impact in the black at 50ft. Because of the standoff, shots will land high as you go further to 25yd or 50yd. I did not text past 25yd.

I was satisfied with my experience with the MRD. It performed great. I didn’t bring tools to sight it in and right out the box it hit a little low and to the right. I aimed a little high and to the left and had a great grouping. I’m sure after I sight it in I’ll be even happier with it.
