I’ve purchased two MCK Gen 2’s, and have purchased the advanced kit for both. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing this advanced kit with every MCK Gen 2 buy.
While the use of both thumb rests is not necessary, I mounted both to maintain a visual symmetry on my platform and just in case I had to fire off-hand.
While I often use a close combat optic, I would never consider possessing a weapon lacking good ol’ iron sights….Batteries run out, iron sights are forever.
The flashlight and accompanying adaptor also increase the versatility of my platform. If you can think of any other use for the integrated flashlight, it may always be used as a temporary “stun” system in low-light situations.
Lastly, the single point sling is an awesome feature. It is readily adjustable, comfortable, easily swings (and stays) out of the way for “hands on operations,” and will not allow an aggressor to realistically gain control of your weapon for use against you.
All in all, I can not imagine having any MCK Gen 2 without this kit.

Don’t think charging handle will hold up but hadn’t shot it yet. It doesn’t close completely every time I rack it back and release it. I have to push it closed at times. I also don’t care for the flashlight. Not as bright as other 500 lumen lights that I have

Seems ok hope the polymer sites will hold zero. Sling is thick and fits nice and can also use it on my AR pistol
